At Honu Cove Hotel, we maintain a no-pets policy to help ensure the comfort of all guests. However, in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”), trained service animals assisting individuals with disabilities are welcome at our property at no additional charge.
For the safety and comfort of all guests:
Service animals must remain under the control of their handler at all times.
Service animals may not be left unattended in guest rooms or public areas.
Guests are responsible for any damage caused by their service animal.
We reserve the right to request removal of a service animal if it is out of control or not housebroken.
If an animal is brought to Honu Cove Hotel under the ADA Exemption, and it is determined at anytime that the animal is not a qualified ADA Service Animal as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act, the associated reservation will be terminated without refund. Additionally, refunds will not be offered for reservations cancelled due to Honu Cove Hotel disallowing an animal to remain on property.
Falsely claiming a pet is a service animal is illegal in Florida, and treated as a second-degree misdemeanor under Florida Statute § 413.08 and § 817.265. Offenders face up to 60 days in jail, fines, and community service.
